If we can explain the anatomy of the brain ๐Ÿง  #BrainWellness and emotional regulation to #children under 5, then surely it can be taught to adults as well.

'๐…๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ข๐' is when the โ€˜thinkingโ€™ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง is suspended and the ๐€๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐š๐ฅ๐š โ€” the threat response system is constatntly activated, think of:

fight/flight/freeze/fawn. ๐Ÿคบ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

It might be difficult for children at times as they donโ€™t have the language or vocabulary to explain what is going on..

But, weโ€™ve managed to bring this knowledge forward to children, where theyโ€™re ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐, ๐ญ๐š๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ and ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ through #Mindfulness of emotions and brain #wellness knowledge.

Funny how we don't always think the same when it comes to adults.. Think of overbearing boss or impatient customer.. we often let it pass, and often times think it is excusable.

๐ˆ๐ญ ๐ˆ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ญ.

Think of the person yelling at their team ๐Ÿ’Œ or blasting a team member and putting them on the spot. If this person is unable to self-regulate, they start being completely irrational, irritable and they are in fight mode

๐‹๐จ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐€๐ข๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ฅ

See, repeated behavior rewires our brain to make this #behavior more likely in the future. When lashing out becomes habitual, over time, we discover that it is more natural to us than taking a step back, reflecting and responding #mindfully.
